Muay Thai

Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is a combat martial art that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.

It is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins, being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient.

Muay Thai or Thai boxing as its also known is taught at Middleton in a friendly, welcoming & safe environment.

We cater for all types of students from those wishing to simply keep fit and learn an effective martial art to those that wish to take it a stage further and compete.

We have classes to suit all ages with pay as you go options and cheaper family and monthly membership options too.

The Coaches

Muay Thai at Middleton is led by Head Coach Greg Kubiak.

Greg is a former professional Muay Thai fighter who has competed both in the UK and internationally. He is a Northern Champion, North West Champion, and European Cup winner. Greg has also trained and fought under the renowned Kiatphontip Gym in Leeds, bringing a high level of experience and authenticity to his coaching.

Joining the team is Myk Estlick, a well-known professional Muay Thai fighter in the UK. During his career, Myk was ranked No. 2 in the UK and is now retired from competition, sharing his knowledge and experience with students of all levels.
